Three homes in our area selected for repair
Seven homes, three from the KMNP neighborhood, have been selected for the 2006 program. The repairs have begun on most of the houses.
The program is a coordinated effort among the Keystone-Monon, Meridian-Kessler and Butler-Tarkington neighborhood associations. The three associations initiated the effort to help fill the gap left by the dissolution of the Martin Luther King Community Development Corporation (CDC). The assistance is provided through money from the city and is currently managed by the BOS Community Development Corporation
We intend to carry on this program. We have had two successful years taking on a very small number of repairs. We plan to expand the program to include more houses every year. However there is high demand for the funds available, so future expansion is dependent upon many factors that are beyond our control. We are planning for 2007 and will make the applications and further information available as it becomes available.
Anyone interested in the planning or screening process, please email info@kmnp.org.
